we create welcoming environments for people to explore challenging conversations through the lens of God's dream for all creation

the sand as our canvas

in a world of overly-intellectual trainings with powerpoints and lectures, we offer a different invitation for transformation: stories told in sand

Our unique storytelling approach creates a tactile and visual experience that makes complex historical realities accessible without sacrificing their depth.

When you sink your hands into the cool sand, something shifts.

The familiar sensation awakens curiosity. What once felt overwhelming becomes a journey you can navigate with others.

The sand invites wonder rather than prescribe answers.

The sand creates space for transformation through curiosity instead of confrontation.

antiracism:

how our stories began

Our antiracism work began as a way to speak honestly with children about racism

In 2021, we created “The Lie That Caused Racism”—stories drawn in sand that honor history without oversimplifying.

Children as young as five leaned in, asking bold questions many adults had never dared to voice.

Our stories trace God’s dream of equal love, the betrayals that scarred it, and the heroes who fought for justice.

Today, these sand stories welcome all ages into a holy space where hard truths are met with wonder, not shame.

more stories to tell

It wasn’t long before we realized that sand stories could be for more than antiracism. God’s dream and the simple storytelling method exposed so many other lies about our identities. The sand draws people together in wonder and reveals new energy in old conversations. We have so many stories on the tips of our tongues. How might the sand transform the conversation on poverty, bullying, the Israel/Palestine conflict, or capitalism? How might it let you tell your community’s story in a new way that admits flaws without condemning?

Our most recent addition has been to wonder about humanity’s relationship with the natural world.
